Retrieva have teamed up with ViewRanger to include their award winning off-road phone-based satellite navigation system and up to 10,000 sq km of mapping when you buy a Retrieva product. It is ideal for those of you who are outdoor-enthusiasts, dog walkers, off-road cyclist, horse riders or simply a weekend walker. Importantly it is also a fantastic tool to enable you to track and find any Retrieva tracking product, whether you are in a car or in the middle of a field.

Choose up to 10,000 sq km of Ordnance Survey mapping (1:50,000 scale) for installation straight onto your phone. All Retrieva products plot themselves straight onto the maps. With most phones now GPS enabled, it will also automatically plot your own position so that once you have found your Retrieva device you can also find your way home. ViewRanger plots both your position and that of your Retrieva product, updating the on-screen map automatically as you travel. Speed and direction of travel are shown on the moving map display and your current location's grid reference is displayed at the top of the screen.

If you wish to increase the coverage of your mapping, or increase the level of detail for an area (to 1:25000 for example) then simply download new mapping tiles for transfer onto your phone (extra charges apply).

ViewRanger provides instant free access to relevant local street and satellite maps. When these are downloaded they are stored on the memory of the phone. Its 3D panoramic graphics identify features of interest in the landscape including towns and villages, mountain peaks, and churches. There is also a sports computer for comparing routes and performance, and ViewRanger integrates with the phone’s camera to link images and video clips to specific map locations creating a multimedia log of your trip. You can even search for the best local walking routes around you.
